September Glossybox

For the past 18 months I have treated myself to a monthly Glossybox.

Glossybox is a monthly beauty box, which is delivered to your door. It has around 5 products in it, some full size and some travel/trial size. Each month there is a great variety of products such as hair products, face creams, make up, plus much more. There is also a little flyer with information about the products, which I find really helpful. It is only £10.00 + P&P and the products you receive are worth a lot more.

The packaging itself is stunning. It comes in a beautiful box, which I always keep to store my makeup in, with coloured paper tied up with a ribbon. I get really excited when it arrives.

Each month I shall review my box.

September Glossybox

Firstly this month’s packaging was gorgeous. Boxed in bright red with matching tissue paper, it looked fab. There was a good range of products inside too, 3 full size and 3 trial size.

Hydro Face Mask by Vitamasoues
(1 mask included – Not sure of retail price)

mask-2

This claims to hydrate the face and retain moisture in the skin. Clinically proven to keep the skin hydrated for 120 hours. It is a serum based mask that you place on your face. This style of mask is really easy to apply and feels really lovely on the skin. I always relax for 30 minutes and then when I take it off I rub the left over serum into my skin. I have not tried this yet but will let you know how I find it.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask
(Trial size – Retail Price: £15.00 for 75ml from The Body Shop)

This is from a range of 5 face masks inspired by traditional beauty remedies from around the world. This one claims to really purify the skin, making it glow. It looks like a heavy charcoal type mask that you rub on and leave for 10 minutes. Again I have not tried this but will keep you posted on the results.

Two Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara
(Trial size – Retail Price: £19.00 for 1.5g from Debenhams.com)

This was a sample-sized product. I was really excited to try this as I have heard fantastic reviews online. It has a hourglass shaped wand that really gets into your lashes. It claims to thicken, add volume and curl your lashes. I have actually been using this for the past week and I am really impressed. It applies lovely with no clumps and great colour, plus it lasts all day. I will be buying the full size product when my trial runs out.

The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Lip Balm
(Full size product 7ml – Retail Price: £12.00 from The Organic Pharmacy)

lip-balm

This was a full size product. The retail price is more than the whole box, showing you what good value the Glossybox is. It claims to keep lips soft due to the ingredients Shea Butter and Rose Hip. I have also been trying this product. It is a gel like creamy product. It smells lovely, a bit like orange. It leaves my lips really soft and does not leave any residue as it wears off which I find a lot of lip balms/creams do. I am impressed with this product.

Rodial Smokey Eye Pen in black
(Full size product – Retail price: £17.00 from Rodial)

Again this is also a full size product. It is a super-rich pigmented gel-effect formula. I have tried this and it is a really soft and creamy. It blends really easily and is perfect to create a smokey eye. It claims to be long-lasting but I haven’t worn it for a long period of time so cannot comment on the durability of the product. It has good reviews online so I am looking forward to wearing it on a night out. I feel it is a bit pricy for a eye liner though!

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat Nail Polish
(Full size product 11.7ml – Retail Price £6.99 from Amazon)

colorstay-nail-polish

This is also a full sized product. I applied this over my current nail polish and it really brought it back to life! It is a clear gel formula that adds a fantastic shine to the polish underneath. It protects the polish and makes it last a lot longer than normal. I have had it on over a week now and it looks as good as new. I will definitely purchase this again.

Some boxes I only use some of the products but this month I will use all the products. I would recommend treating yourself to the Glossybox, it is really good value for money and a lovely surprise to look forward to each month. It is available from www.glossybox.co.uk (10% off for a limited time with vouchercode: RED10UK).

Thanks for reading…

    1. I have been getting it for 18 months now and I am still really excited and impressed with the box each month. It is only about £13 with the packaging and the products are always worth much more. I would recommend it yes
