After a pamper session a few evenings ago I thought I would write a review about the Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask. I received this mask as a trial size in my September Glossybox. I have never used a clay mask before but there is a range of clay products hitting the shops at the moment. So I was excited to try it and see the results.

It claims to refine and revive your skin whilst drawing out impurities, absorbing excess oil and refining the appearance of pores for healthy-looking glowing skin. It is 100% vegan, which is great and true to the Bodyshop beliefs. It contains bamboo charcoal from the Himalayan Foothills, green tea leaves from Japan and organic Community Trade tea tree oil from Kenya. This is from a range of 5 face masks inspired by traditional beauty remedies from around the world.

So, after cleansing, I applied it all over my face avoiding my eyes. It smelt lovely. It had a strange consistency as it had bits of larger clay particles mixed in with the smooth thick mixture. My daughter was horrified as I looked quite scary and my son politely pointed out that I looked like the hulk! Anyway, I left it for about 8 minutes by which time it had dried out on my face. I then rinsed it off using circular motions as directed on the packet.

I was really impressed with the results. My face felt really soft and had a lovely healthy glow. It is a bit steep at £15.00 but it is a nice treat for the skin.
