It is very hard being a beauty blogger as it simply encourages me to buy even more make up and beauty products! I recently ordered some new products from Cult Beauty so thought I would review them for you here and let you all have a little nosey at what I have been buying.
Firstly I have never been on the Cult Beauty website. I needed a new Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and this site came up in the Google search. As I started to look around the site there were new products and brands I hadn’t tried before so ordered a range of things to try. They were delivered quickly and packaged nicely.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
£15.50 from www.cultbeauty.com
This is a product I have been using for the past few months. I originally bought one in the states on my last visit. I am not one for strong brows. Mine are quite sparse after too much plucking as a teenager. This has a really narrow nib allowing me to draw short strokes into my brows to give a more natural and realistic look. It has a spooly brush on the end too, which is super handy to brush the brows through. I find this evens out the product again adding to the natural effect. I just top off then with benefit Gimme Brow to set them. It is available in an amazing 10 shades. I wear Medium Brown.
Pixi Skintreats Glow Tonic
£18.00 from www.cultbeauty.com
This is a product I have been dying to try as it has had so much positive feedback and hype on social network sites and reviews. It is a gentle, exfoliating toner that claims to brighten, tone and condition your skin after cleansing. I have been trying this for the past couple of weeks and will review fully in a post soon. It is ideal for people with oily skin but can be quite tough on sensitive skin.
Zoeva Luxe Soft Definer Brush (227)
£8.99 from www.cultbeauty.com
I have heard great things about the Zoeva brushes but not really had a good try. Lots of people had compared this to the MAC 217 brush, which is my favourite makeup brush of all time but costs £21.00. I use it every day to blend my eye shadow into my crease. Firstly these brushes come in a little plastic brush bag with a zip top. Perfect for traveling. The brush has a black handle and white soft natural synthetic bristles. It is really good quality, especially for the price. The brush is very similar to the 217 with a similar shape and density to the bristles. The bristles however, do feel slightly cheaper than the 217 but they apply the makeup just as well, so for the price I think this brush is excellent and would happily buy this in place of the 217. It also washes lovely with little fall out.
Zoeva Powder Brush (106)
£12.99 from www.cultbeauty.com
I loved the look of this brush online although it was hard to judge the size fully when looking on the screen. I think it is a cross between the 116 and 126 MAC brushes. Again it came in the little plastic pouch. It has a large head and really soft dense synthetic bristles. It really is great quality. and also vegan friendly. I feel this is better quality than the 227 brush mentioned above. I have been using this brush to apply my bronzer and I absolutely love it. It is just so soft on the skin. It picks up a nice amount of product and blends it in well on the face. Fab brush!
As I spent over £50, there were also two samples products for me to try in the package.
SAMPLE – Irish Moor Mud Mask
This was really nice. Applies similar to a charcoal mask, covering face in a scary looking dark grey thick cream. I left it on for about 5 minutes whilst I was in the shower. When I rinsed it off my face felt lovely, really clean and fresh.
SAMPLE – Resveratrol Lift – Night Infusion Cream
This was rich luxurious feeling cream. It applied nice to the face and absorbed well. My skin felt nice the next morning, no greasiness, just soft and refreshed.
I really enjoyed my Cult Beauty splurge. I think there is a good range of products and brands on the site. Different to the other sites who tend to all have the same products. I like trying new products as we so often get stuck in a rut with our beauty and makeup products. I enjoyed getting the samples to try too. I will probably buy some more of the Irish mud mask as it was really nice to use with great effects.
