Today I continue with the Beauty Bloggers Brawl 2017 challenge. As mentioned in my introduction post (Introduction). The Beauty Bloggers Brawl is a daily blog post undertaken by a group of beauty bloggers who will be challenging each other to a daily top trump game reviewing beauty products. We have been given specific categories but can choose our own brand and product to review. We will rate the product, packaging and price out of 100 then create a top trump card to represent our product.
Day 8’s review is about false eyelashes.
Naturalites Eyelashes by Eylure
£5.35 from www.superdrug.com
For the false eyelashes review I have chosen Naturalites lashes by Eylure. They are natural volume subtle strip lashes. I have had these for ages and never used them so my packaging is a bit old. The new version is Volume No. 083 lashes.
I’ll be honest I am not a false lash person. I do not have the patience to put them on and I don’t like feeling them on my eyes throughout the night. I have however tried them for this review.
- A short but plentiful lash, ideal for a smooth, balanced look.
- Great for adding volume.
- Contact lence friendly.
Product – 60/100
This is slightly a lower score for these lashes but this is based on the fact I don’t like eyelashes not the actual quality of the product. I did like the fact they were very subtle on and did not make me look like a drag queen. They were okay to apply. I’m sure regular lash wearers would apply them no problem. It took me a bit longer because I am so rubbish at applying them! The band is subtle too and blended in with my liquid eyeliner no problem.
Packaging – 70/100
The packaging allows you to get a good look at the actual lashes before buying them, which I feel, is really important when buying lashes. It also comes with adhesive, which is handy too. I have very sensitive eyes and this adhesive did not irritate my eyes at all.
Price – 80/100
I think these lashes are a good price at £5.35 as they are reusable. I have seen them for sale in lots of local drugstores and supermarkets too, which is always helpful to pick them up whilst out doing your general shopping.
