Beauty Bloggers Brawl 2017 – Day 9 Hand Cream

Today I continue with the Beauty Bloggers Brawl 2017 challenge. As mentioned in my introduction post (HERE). The Beauty Bloggers Brawl is a daily blog post undertaken by a group of beauty bloggers who will be challenging each other to a daily top trump game reviewing beauty products. We have been given specific categories but can choose our own brand and product to review. We will rate the product, packaging and price out of 100 then create a top trump card to represent our product.

Day 9’s review is about Hand Cream.

I love hand cream so I was excited by this category. I especially like luxury expensive hand creams. For this review I had a sample given to me of the Somerset Meadow Hand Therapy by Crabtree & Evelyn.

  • A rich blend of macadamia nut oil and shea butter works to deeply moisturise your hands to leave your skin silky soft.
  • Nourishes the skin and leaves your hands gorgeously fragranced.

My Verdict:

Product – 90/100
I loved this hand cream from the moment I applied it. It is a thick white cream that gently soaks into the skin. It has a gorgeous fragrance too. Not too over powering just really gentle, a bit like spring flowers. It leaves my hands so soft and very hydrated. I have been applying it in the morning and before bed. It leaves my skin soft all day.

Packaging – 70/100
The packaging is a foil tube with a screw lid. Pretty standard for a hand cream. It feels expensive. I’m not a big fan of the colour which is an off yellow. I also found the lid a bit tricky to put back on when I had applied the hand cream.

Price – 70/100
This is a tricky one to score as it is a premium product. So I have compared it really against my other high-end hand creams. It is a luxury hand cream. You hands feel pampered after using this cream. My hands stay moisturised throughout the day so you don’t need to keep applying it throughout the day like cheaper hand creams.

I really like this hand cream.
