Beauty Bloggers Brawl 2017 – Day 10 Bronzer

Well, today is the last day of the Beauty Bloggers Brawl 2017 challenge. As mentioned in my introduction post (Introduction). The Beauty Bloggers Brawl is a daily blog post undertaken by a group of beauty bloggers who will be challenging each other to a daily top trump game reviewing beauty products. We have been given specific categories but can choose our own brand and product to review. We will rate the product, packaging and price out of 100 then create a top trump card to represent our product.

Day 10’s review is about bronzer.

Natural Bronzer Powder in Sun Glow by Rimmel
£5.99 from

For this final review I chose Rimmel’s Natural Bronzing Powder in the shade 35 Sun Glow. I have read many good reviews about Rimmel’s bronzing powders fo was intrigued to try this product.

  • Waterproof bronzing powder.
  • Velvet soft texture for a naturally even bronzed look.
  • Wears up to 10 hours.

My Verdict:

Product – 90/100
This is a great bronzer, especially for the drugstore. I tend to stick to specific bronzers such as Benefit Hoola and the Balm Bahama Mama bronzer as I like their finish and both suit my skin tone. They are however quite pricey. The texture is nice and the product is quite pigmented. I used it with a big soft brush so I could apply the colour gradually. It lasts really well and was still visible on my cheeks at the end of a 8 hour day in work. Not sure if it is waterproof though as I never tested that element of it.

Packaging – 60/100
The packaging lets this product down for me, which is a shame as the product is so good. This pot comes with a clear screw lid. I like that you can see the actual product through the lid however, the lid breaks really easily and then I couldn’t take it in my bag as it kept opening. I think it would be worth Rimmel improving their packaging and increasing the price a few pounds to compensate.

Price – 70/100
The price is fine for this product although as I mentioned above I think the packaging is very poor. The quality of the actual product is excellent for a drugstore brand.

Well The Beauty Bloggers Brawl 2017 has come to an end. I hope you enjoyed today’s review and all of the previous reviews I have written as part of the challenge.
