Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Taking makeup off at the end of the day can be such a tedious task but something we all must do to keep our skin clean and healthy. My mum use to say to me “it doesn’t matter how much make up you wear as long as you clean it all off each night”, a quote I have always remembered. This post reviews the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. A product I have been using for the past few months.

main bottle

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
£3.29 for 400ml from

It Claims:

  • An all in one cleanser that removes make-up, purifies and mattifies skin
  • Suitable for sensitive skin

My Verdict:

It comes in a clear bottle giving a natural fresh appearance. It has a good lid too, which allows just enough of the liquid out onto your cotton pad. As the bottle is see through it also allows you to see when the product is running out. The different versions are colour branded making them easy to spot on the shelf. It is also perfume free.

Using a cotton pad I dab the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water onto my skin and gently wipe away my makeup. It is a clear liquid and it is very gentle on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling very refreshed afterwards. It does not have any fragrance, which I prefer as sometimes they are so overpowering. It does not take much wiping either so you don’t feel like you are dragging your skin about too much.

Most nights I follow this with my Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Wash. Although it is fine with out this 2nd cleanse. I am a keen ‘Double Cleanser’ as I feel the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water completely clears all traces of makeup and then my face wash fully cleanses my skin. I also find the Micellar water is a really refreshing cleanse for the skin before bed when I do not have makeup on. I don’t double cleanse if I have no make up on though as I feel it is not needed.

Overall Verdict:
I simply LOVE this product. It is just so gentle on my skin and I feel like it cleans all traces of makeup off. It does not dry my skin at all and leaves my dry areas hydrated. I have also got sensitive skin and this product does not leave my skin irritated at all. It is an excellent price and comes in a larger size £3.29 for 400ml and a travel size, which is handy and super cheap at just £1 for 125ml. It is available for different skin types too. I use the Combination skin Micellar Water. They have now also added a Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash, which I have recently bought and will be reviewing in the future weeks. I would recommend this product especially for people with Sensitive skin as it is so gentle.
