I was sent I Sea Pasta, 100% organic seaweed pasta to try. I have not blogged about food before and was not sure how to approach it, but let’s face it, eating is one of my favourite pastimes, so it would be a post I would enjoy! So, I researched recipe ideas and suggestions online, followed the cooking instructions and reviewed the outcome.

I Sea Pasta was created when the founder of the Seamore brand was on holiday and mistook seaweed as pasta when eating in a restaurant. Surprised at how much he enjoyed it, he decided to use it as the focus for his product I Sea Pasta.
I sea Pasta is 100% wild, handpicked, organic seaweed from Ireland. It looks like Tagliatelle and can be used within a wide range of recipes and to accompany lots of different foods. It is full of iodine, iron and Omega 3. It is also high in fibre and glutenfree. Overall a really health and nutritional part of any meal.
I really like the packaging. It is a lovely bright blue colour with simple text. It is eye catching and makes the food look appealing to a wide audience. I really like the branding as a whole, I think the play on words ‘I Sea Pasta’ is really clever and gives the product a contemporary feel. It comes in a sealed pack so it will stay fresh. The product is actually a dark green black colour when dried in the pack, but once cooked brightens to a green colour.
I followed the instructions step by step. I boiled it in a pan for about 20 minutes and then drained. The first thing to note is that it is quite smelly when cooking. It reminded me of the harbour when the fishing boats come in. This did not bother me, as I love fish. However, my husband refused to come in the kitchen as he did not like the smell.
Firstly, I tasted the I Sea Pasta on its own. It is slightly harder than pasta to bite and personally I felt the taste was a bit bland, but then again so is pasta on its own. I then followed a simple recipe for a bolognese sauce from the company website and added it to my pasta. This gave the I Sea Pasta a whole different taste. The I Sea pasta is very filling so you don’t need as much.
You could add I Sea Pasta to salads, vegetables and salads to create really healthy and nutritional tasty meals. There are lots of recipes on the website https://seamorefood.com/category/recipes/.
