NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are new to me. I haven’t really tried many NYX products to be honest. They used to be quite hard to buy in the UK but they are now sold online and in many shops, such as Boots and Superdrug. I have read many good reviews and there are so many products I want to try. So, I started with the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream after seeing a You Tuber wearing it in a tutorial.

Colour: I am a red lipstick wearer. It is my signature look on a night out. I found that when I had red hair I couldn’t experiment with many lip colours as they clashed, so red was my safety colour. Now my hair is brown though, I can really play about with colours. So, I chose Shade 08 San Paolo. It is a gorgeous bright pink. I am just in love with the colour.
Texture: I have never really been keen on matte lipsticks as I feel they dry my lips out and often don’t apply evenly over the lip, so I tend to avoid them. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream though applies really well. It is very pigmented and does not dry my lips out at all. It looks glossy when you apply it and then dries within a few seconds to a matte finish. The texture is so nice.
Durability: This is what impressed me the most. I applied it when I was getting ready and I didn’t need to apply it again for hours. I was even drinking too. Usually after half an hour or so my lipstick has vanished but the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Swatch lasted so well and my lips remained the gorgeous pink colour all night.
Price: This is such an affordable lip cream at £6.00. Many places have offers on them too.
As you can probably tell from my post so far, I am really impressed with this product. The colour pigmentation is fantastic. The matte texture is moisturising and leaves lips soft. The lip stick lasted for hours. For a drugstore lipstick, it is amazing. Better than many of my high-end products. I am definitely going to buy some more colours now and try some of the other NYX products. I would love to know any you recommend.
