November Birchbox Review

Welcome to my November Birchbox review. I feel like I haven’t written a blog for a while as I have been off jet setting and partying far too hard for a girl of my age in Las Vegas. My holiday was just AMAZING, but now it is back to reality and blogging. I have many new products I want to review and post about so, I will be busy writing for the next couple of weeks to ensure I get them on the blog before Christmas.

So today, it is Birchbox time. The box is great this month. They have teamed up with Vogue who recently compiled a list of the 100 greatest beauty products of all time. This month’s Birchbox contains 5 great selection of products from this list. 4 are trial size, 1 is full size and 1 is a Birchbox exclusive.

Hoola Bronzer by Benefit

Trial size – Full size RRP: £24.50

Benefit Hoola Bronzer Birchbox

As you will all probably know, this is my absolute favourite bronzer of all time and has been a staple in my makeup kit for years. I wear it every day so I was so impressed to see this trail size in the November Birchbox. It is a matte powder bronzer with a lovely consistency. It blends well and suits a wide range of skin tones. It adds a warm glow to the skin without being shimmery or glossy. I apply it to my cheeks, cheekbones, down my nose and in my eye sockets as a socket colour. Smooth, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil by Percy & Reed

Trial Size – Full Size RRP: £14.00

Smooth, Sealed & Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil by Percy & Reed

I have tried a few Percy & Reed products over the past year or so and I really love the brand. This oil claims to add nourishment and strengthen your hair whilst protecting it against heat. I used this oil this morning and it did not disappoint. My hair is very flat and fine. I really struggle getting volume and I am finding it quite dry at the moment. I applied a few drops of this oil to towel dried hair, rubbing it through my hair from the roots to the ends. I then dried and straightened my hair. I was really impressed with the results. My hair definitely looked like it had more volume and body. It felt really smooth too. I will keep using this oil.

Overnight Tan Mask Tan Face by James Reed

Trial Size – Full Size RRP: £25.00

Overnight Tan Mask Tan Face by James Reed

This face cream claims to moisturise and hydrate you skin whilst developing a subtle sun-kissed tan. I have to be honest, I am not a self-tanner. This product I won’t use. I am happy with my skin colour and find all self-tans leave a funny colour on my skin so don’t tend to use them.

Dry Fast Top Coat by Seche Vite

Full Size RRP: £9.00

Dry Fast Top Coat by Seche Vite

This is a full-size product. It is a quick drying clear top coat for your nail polish. It claims to add a glossy seal to your polish that will make it last much longer. It instructs you apply a generous coat over your nails and then apply it again every 3 days. I have not tried this yet, but this is definitely a product I will use. I always apply a top coat to my nails and this sounds perfect as it is quick drying and helps the polish last longer.

Brush Cleaner by Birchbox

Full Size RRP: £5.00

Brush Cleaner by Birchbox

The final product is a silicone brush cleaner. I was excited to see this cleaner in the November Birchbox as I use a very similar one I got off Ebay, but mine is just too small. This one is much bigger, fits nicely on my fingers and has lots of grooves and ridges to clean your brushes properly. I will use this product a lot. You can see how I clean my makeup brushes here.

The November Birchbox is a great box of goodies. I will use all the products bar probably the Face Tan. All products are great quality and apply nicely. If you want to sign up to Birchbox or buy any of the products from their store, click here.
