Those of you who follow me on social media will have seen recently that I have been really praising the Indeed Labs Retinol Reface skin Resurfacer Serum. I had never used Retinol on my skin and after reading so many posts about it I really wanted to give it a try. I have just hit my 40’s and my skin is starting to show signs of age such as fine lines and Retinol promised to help the skin. So, I researched the market and many were super expensive. I did not want to pay loads as I didn’t know if it would even work. I came across the Indeed Labs Retinol Reface skin Resurfacer Serum and it had really good reviews. I had never heard of the product or in fact the brand before. It was £19.99 and I could get it from Boots so I bought a tube.
I have been using it for about 8 weeks now and just repurchased my second tube so I felt it was a good time to write a review for you all. I don’t like to write reviews until I can give an honest opinion of how the product really is and the effect it has on my skin.
A little bit about Retinol
Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A. It is considered to be really effective to help reduce the signs of ageing. It accelerates skin renewal and evens out skin tone. It also helps make the skin feel and appear softer, firmer and smoother. You apply it at night as UV rays can stop it from working.
- Helps deliver softer, smoother and visibly younger-looking skin
- Contains three forms of retinol that quickly and effectively target signs of aging by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- enhances collagen production, reduces acne scars, promotes cell turnover and improves skin texture and tone
- Gentle enough to use on all skin types
- Paraben, colourant and fragrance-free
It is recommended that you apply Retinol every other night in the beginning as it can irritate skin and your skin needs to get used to it. I did this for a week then started to use it every night. I have sensitive skin and have had no reactions to this cream at all. I remove all my makeup and cleanse and tone my skin. I then apply this with my fingers gently massaging it into my skin. I spend extra time on the areas that I have fine lines such as around my eyes and my forehead. Be careful when applying it by your eyes.
It has a creamy texture and absorbs well into my skin. My skin feels hydrated afterwards. The applicator is great too allowing you to squeeze just enough out and not waste any.
If my skin is feeling particularly dry I apply a moisturiser over the top but most days it is fine on it’s own. It does not dry my skin out and does not leave it feeling it oily so I would think it is suitable for all skin types.
I noticed a difference in my skin within days of using the Indeed Labs Retinol Reface skin Resurfacer Serum. Each morning my skin feels and looks good without any oily or dry areas. My skin has improved and looks fresher and plumped. With regards to fine lines, after a few weeks I have noticed a difference in the appearance of the fine lines. Around my eyes the lines are less visible and I had two quite deep lines across my forehead, these have gone completely which is amazing. I also have two lines in between my eyes which drive me mad. I obviously frown a lot! These have not vanished unfortunately but have improved a lot and are less visible.
I am really impressed with this product and will continue to use it as part of my nightly routine. I think the price is not too bad at £19.99 for 30ml as the cream has lasted about 8 weeks. You can purchase it from Boots. It lived up to the claims. I am also really keen to try other Indeed Labs products so let me know in the comments box if you have tried any.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
