Hi Everyone. Today’s post showcases the 5 beauty and skincare products I have been enjoying through May. I have bought quite a few new products over the past couple of months but also due to the lockdown, I have been routing through my makeup draws and found some older products that I had forgotten about. Enjoy the post…
Sunday Riley CEO Glow
£34.00 for 15ml from Cult Beauty
I have been holding off buying anything from Sunday Riley as the products are just so expensive and I wasn’t sure they worth the money. This product has a big following and lots of people rave about it. So, after lots of research, I gave in and bought it and I am so glad I did. I have wanted to introduce vitamin C into my skincare routine as I have found my skin quite dull recently and vitamin C is excellent for brightening the skin. When researching the CEO Glow everyone had said it was a great starting vitamin C product which did not irritate your skin, was lovely to use and really brighten your skin. I have now been using this for 3 weeks in the morning after my cleanser and it is lovely. It smells nice, sinks in well and leaves my skin glowing. I will do a full review in the next few weeks.
Charlotte Tilbury Copper Charge Luxury Eyeshadow Palette
£40.00 from Charlotte Tilbury
I treated myself to this eyeshadow quad a few weeks back. It is so lovely but I won’t lie it is very expensive. I have a full review here. This is part of a new range they have not long released. It highlights the shade of your eye colour. I have the Copper Charge pallette that aims to make blue eyes pop. The colours are gorgeous bronze/gold colours, the texture is lovely and blends well and they really do make my blue eyes stand out.
Charlotte Tilbury Copper Charge Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo
£21.00 from Charlotte Tilbury
This was part of the Copper Charge set I bought. This is a lovely eyeliner with each end having a different liner. One is a gorgeous matt brown and the other a metallic gold. They are really creamy to apply and can be left with a sharp finish or blended in. I have a full review here.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Face Mist SPF 50+
£14.00 for 75ml from Look Fantastic
I have been using this spray SPF constantly over the past few months. I have the fluid form which is also great, but this is very handy just to spray on last minute. It is a very fine mist that leaves a matt finish. It is hypoallergic and suitable for sensitive skin. I even used it on my daughter who suffers from eczema and she was fine. This is perfect for all skin types even oily skin. I keep it in my bag so I can apply it at any time. It is great over makeup as it does not disturb your foundation or base. I have recently reviewed a range of face SPFs on my blog. You can read it here.
Rimmel Super Gel Nail Polish Top Coat
£6.99 each from Superdrug
With the lovely weather, I have wanted to get my flip flops and sandals on but the lockdown has meant no visits to the salon for pedicures or shellac. So I have been using this two-step gel nail polish set I had from Rimmel and it has been great. Really easy to apply as the bottles come with a big brush that glides easily across your nail.
The colours are a great formula, really glossy, pigmented and thick. I apply two coats and I have no streaks. They have a built-in base coat so can be applied directly to your nails. I then apply the top coat which adds more gloss and seals it all in place. The natural light dries the nails quickly. My toes have lasted for a couple of weeks without chipping.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourite products for May. I would love for you to list your favourites in the comments section below.
