My Current Makeup Routine

I regularly get asked about what products I love at the moment, so I thought I would write about my current daily makeup routine for this post. I have changed a few things recently so some are products I have used for a while and some are new. I have posted them in the order I use them.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer
£7.99 from

I bought this after reading that it was good dupe for the Benefit Porefessional. I was so impressed I have used it ever since. It applies nicely and gives a great finish to my skin ready for my foundation. It is a clear silicon type primer that minimises pores and evens my skin tone out. I apply it using my fingers as the warmth of my fingers helps it apply smoothly.

Rimmel London’s Fresher Skin foundation
£7.99 from

I have been using this foundation for about 5 months now. I really like the finish. I apply it using a Kabuki brush and buff it into my skin. I wear the shade 201 Classic Beige, which suits my skin perfectly. It has a really natural finish with a semi matte appearance. It gives me just enough coverage without being heavy on my skin. It really lets my skin breath. I don’t feel like I am wearing anything on my skin. It also lasts all day whilst I am working, so around 10 hours. I think this is a really got product for £7.99. I have a full review of this foundation here Rimmel London’s New Fresher Skin Foundation Review.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eye Concealer
£7.99 from

I think this is such a great concealer and have been using it for the past 6 months. I have tried others but they just don’t have the coverage and durability of this one. I actually use it in two shades. I apply the Nude first over any dark areas around my eyes and over the lids as a eye shadow primer. I then buff it in using an ELF concealer brush, which is a fab brush I bought in the states for $1! I then apply the Light shade under my eyes, down my nose and chin and in the centre of my forehead to highlight the areas and buff this in with the same brush.

Pressed Powder:

Benefit Hello Flawless!
£28.00 from

I really like this powder although it is quite pricey. It applies well over my foundation and they seem to work well together giving my skin a flawless finish. The powder helps maintain any shine throughout the day. My shade is Ivory Gee I’m Swell. It is handy to keep in my bag too as it comes with a mirror, sponge applicator and brush.

Hoola Bronzer by Benefit
£24.50 from

This has been my favourite bronzer for the past couple of years! I try others but still love this one. It is a great colour, really suits my skin without being too much. I like my bronzer to look natural as oppose to false sun goddess. This bronzer is completely matte. I apply this with a big powder brush to my cheeks and forehead, but then go in with a sculpting brush and add a little bit to the contours of my cheeks and sides of my nose. This adds a slight contour but nothing to dramatic.

Rockateur Blush by benefit
£24.50 from

This is a really nice natural rose gold blusher. I apply across by cheeks with a blusher brush. Sometimes, I go back over my contour and cheeks with my foundation brush to soften everything up.

Dandelion Shy Beam Liquid Highlighter by Benefit
£21.50 from

This is a great nude pink matte highlight. Perfect to add a subtle highlight to the tops of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. I personally don’t like to wear a strong highlight in the day so this suits my skin for everyday use.

Anastasia Brow Wiz
£15.50 from

Firstly I apply Anastasia Brow Wiz. This is perfect for shaping my brows and adding colour to sparse areas. I wear it in the shade Medium Brown. This is a perfect match for my brows with an ashy tone to it. It leaves them looking natural.

Gimme Brow by Benefit
£20.00 from

I then apply Benefit Gimme Brow on top to add fibres and thicken the brow, plus it sets the brows in place for the day. I wear the shade 03 medium.

Eye Shadow:

Two Faced Sweet Peach Palette
£39.00 from

I have been loving this eye shadow palette since I bought it a few weeks back. I will be reviewing it in a post in the next week or so. It has a beautiful collection of warm browns and peach colours, perfect for day and night looks. I tend to wear a neutral shade such as Georgia in the crease and then add a wash of colour across my lid. I especially like the colour Cobbler for a daytime look.

They’re Real Beyond Mascara From Benefit
£20.50 from

I finish my look with some black mascara. I love this mascara from Benefit. It applies well with no clumps or stickiness. I only need one layer and it really opens my eyes up.

MUA Lipstick Shade 11
£1.00 from

Finally I finish with a bit of lip. I love this colour. It is a creamy nude colour that lasts a couple of hours. It is a real bargain at £1! You can read the full review of this lipstick here Amazing £1 lipstick!!

I have been using these products combined together for a few months. I have other products I try along the way but these are the ones I tend to come back to every day. My finished look is natural and low key, which is perfect for work and my everyday life.
