St David’s Park Luxury Spa Review, Anglesey

St David’s Spa Entrance

I recently visited St. David’s Spa, a new spa that has opened by me here on Anglesey. It is located by the beautiful Red Wharf Bay. Many of my followers had asked for a review post so I thought this would be a great opportunity to review the Spa and also the treatments and products used.

The SPA:
Firstly, the spa building is lovely. As it is brand new, everything is just so contemporary and fresh. It has a really modern look with clean edges and smooth pine surfaces. There is a lovely warm atmosphere within the spa through use of warm colours which compliment the clean spaces.

I was met by the Spa Manager with a warm and friendly welcome. She took me to a relaxation room where I sat to wait for my treatment. It had several loungers, hot and cold drinks and magazines, the perfect place to relax before and after treatments. It has big glass windows overlooking a gorgeous pool. Which then overlooks the whole of the beach and coast. Absolutely stunning location!

The Facial:
I had chosen the Elemis Superfood Pro-Radiance Facial as my skin was in need of a bit of a pamper. It claims: “A nutritional boost rich in superfoods and essential minerals designed to pack stressed, dull skin with energising, detoxifying actives. Clinically proven* to leave skin plumper, radiant and lit up with good health.” One of the main factors I choose this Spa was that they use Elemis products. I LOVE and ADORE Elemis products. I believe they produce the best skincare products and they suit my skin so well.

For my treatment I was taken through to a room again decorated really contemporary and relaxing. Soft music was playing in the background. A lovely lady called Jen spent about 5 minutes or so going through questions about my health and my skin and also more importantly what I wanted to get from the facial, which I thought, was great. She then left me whilst I undressed to my waist and lay on the bed (there were lots of soft warm towels to lay over me).

The facial took about an hour. It was the most relaxing and amazing hour of my life! I was so impressed. The treatments were warm and gentle. I could feel my skin drinking up all the hydration and moisture like a sponge. I hadn’t realised how dehydrated my skin was. Jen was firm with her massage but gentle on my skin. Every movement flowed allowing me to fully relax. She went through a range of different treatments on my face. She was so professional and knew what she was doing. This is the process and products she used for me:

  1. Pro radiance Cream Cleanser (luxurious deep cleansing cream)
  2. Balancing Lavendar Toner (gentle purifying toner that helps rebalance the pH levels)
  3. Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules (Repairs and reduces ageing and cleans skin cells)
  4. Gentle Rose Exfoliator (Buffs away dirt and dead skin cells and leaves skin glowing)
  5. Fruit Active Rejuvenating Mask (Restores complexion)
  6. Superfood Facial Oil (Deeply nourishes and hydrates)
  7. Exotic Cream Moisturising Mask (A nourishing cream mask for an intense hydration boost)
  8. Superfood Facial Oil (Applied again to deeply nourish and hydrate further)
  9. Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (Firms, smoothes and hydrates the skin)
  10. Pro-Collagen Eye Renewal (Anti-wrinkle eye cream that nourishes, firms and smoothes)

This facial was so thorough and I especially liked that Jen also spent time massaging nutritional oils into my hair and scalp. She then finished by massaging my arms, and shoulders with Elemis Frangipani Body Oil (an absolute favourite of mine) and then Jasmine and Rose hand cream into my hands.

Afterwards, Jen sat down and had a consultation with me. She discussed the products used and how she found my skin. She recommended I look at hydrating my skin as it very dehydrated. She suggested an Intense Cleansing Salt Treatment next time I visit. I was already thinking about my next treatment whilst I was having my facial so I was happy with her recommendation.

My Overall Verdict:
This facial costs £48.00. I think this is a reasonable price for this treatment. The quality of the service and the products are excellent. The facilities are high end and the overall experience is just out of this world. You come away feeling pampered, special and glowing. Exactly how you should feel after a facial.

The facial itself was amazing. My skin was actually glowing when I left and felt fantastic for the rest of the day. I have since bought myself some of the Elemis Superfood facial Oil, Pro-Collogen Eye renewal Cream and Marine cream too as I was so happy with the results the products had on my skin.

The Relaxation Room

I will be visiting this spa on a regular basis now, as I am just so happy with it. If you live locally I would recommend trying it. You will be hooked once you visit. If you do not live locally there are lots of facilities here to allow you come and stay and make a weekend of it, as the Spa is part of a complex with accommodation and a lovely bar/restaurant. Plus of course, Anglesey is a gorgeous holiday location too.

The Spa has a fantastic easy online booking service. Visit their site for more details the treatments they offer:
