Summer is here, although not sure how long it will last in the UK! So, for this series of reviews, I have taken a different angle. I have asked my friends what are the beauty and skincare summer saviours that they need to keep their skin at bay through the summer. Whether it be a great moisturiser or a foundation to stop oiliness, I wanted to know the products they can’t live without.
I had such a great response that I have broken it down into two posts; Skincare & Makeup.
Today’s review looks at skincare. I like researching for these posts as it is interesting to see what products everyone actually wears on a day to day basis. I hope you enjoy it and get inspiration from their suggestions.
Skincare Summer Saviours:
The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser
£16.00 From www.thebodyshop.com
A lightweight gel that boosts radiance and hydration.
Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel
£5.00 from www.boots.com*
Sooths & softens the skin.
Dermalogica protection 50 Sport Sun cream
£32.50 from Feelunique*
A sheer solar protection treatment that defends against prolonged skin damage.
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser
£4.29 from www.boots.com*
Packed with vitamins and goodness to keep your skin hydrated all day long. This was recommended by several of my friends.
Aldi Lacura Caviar Illumination Day Cream
£6.99 from www.aldi.co.uk
“I use this moisturiser from Aldi! Love it! It’s got SPF 15 all for £6.99!”
A light textured moisturiser that keeps the skin hydrated all day.
Kueshi Anti-Cellulite Booster
£14.55 RRP – was part of a Glossybox
“Great for legs!”
This cream stimulates the bloods circulation which reinforces the linings of our veins. The added antioxidant agents also fight against the signs of ageing.
Lanolips Super Moisturiser Skin Protectant
£10.99 from Feelunique*
“Great for dry heels and skin!”
Re-conditions, nourishes and hydrates exceptionally dry skin.
Just Coco’s Coconut Oil – for Hair, Scalp, Face & body
£1.00 from www.onlinepoundstore.co.uk or Home Bargains
“This keeps my skin hydrated. I put it on about 10 mins before putting my make up on.”
A moisturising cream for the whole body.
Dove Derma Spa Summer Revived Body Lotion
£3.45 from www.superdrug.com
“I can’t live without this because my skin is so pale and I never go brown.”
Self-tanning lotion that leaves your skin full of moisture and with a shimmery glow.
Clinique Post Shave Soother
£20.00 from www.clinique.co.uk
“It’s really good for sensitive skin.”
One of my male friends recommended this, which I think is great. Not many men look after their skin correctly ensuring it is well hydrated and healthy. It is a Post shave soothing lotion to help sooth dryness.
Body Fantasies Fragrance Body Spray
£3.99 from www.superdrug.com
“These body spritzers are really refreshing!”
I hope you enjoyed the part 1 of My Friends Summer Beauty Saviours. There was a great range of skincare products recommended. I especially like the look of the Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting moisturiser. I have found that many of my friends tend to like something priced a bit cheaper for every day. So, it is great when you find low priced products that work really well.
