Today’s post is focusing on eye creams. If you follow me regularly you will know the hunt for a good eye cream has been a bit of an ongoing mission for me. I have never found one that really has any impact on my eye area. I was recently sent some information from a review company who have been investigating eye creams and I found the review was so helpful to understand the different needs of eye creams with great suggestions of suitable products. I do not gain anything from this post, I just thought it would be good to include this information on my blog for you all, hope you find it helpful!

If you’re one of those people always on the run, working long days, or staying up late hours, you may or may not have noticed it starting to take a toll on your eyes. Even if you see no signs of aging or under-eye bags, many dermatologists recommend using eye cream to protect against future wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles. But where to start? There are an endless number to choose from!
To make it easier, Reviews.com actually did the research – on 318 eye creams! – and pored over ingredient lists, talked to beauty experts and tested many varieties on their own skin.
A few key takeaways:
- If you want to fight wrinkles or fine lines, look for a gentle combination of retinyl palmitate, multiple peptides for boosting collagen production, and hyaluronic acid for keeping skin hydrated.
- If you’re battling dark circles, look for ingredients such as caffeine, to constrict blood vessels, and antioxidants and peptides, to help combat the breakdown of collagen.
- If puffiness is your problem, find anti-puff ingredients like caffeine (for tightening inflamed skin) and antioxidants green tea and chamomile (for reducing swelling). Also: a metal paddle applicator head helps to instantly cool the skin around the eye and massaging action helps to displace pooling liquid to immediately address puffiness.
