MAGNIF’EYES EYESHADOW SPICE PALETTE REVIEW

I love a great eyeshadow palette, especially when it is drugstore. However most of the time I am disappointed with the quality and pigmentation from drugstore eyeshadow palettes. I feel they have just never got it right… until now!

Today’s post reviews the new Rimmel Magnif’eyes Eyeshadow Palette in Spice. There are 5 palettes in the collection but it was the Spice one that really caught my eye. The range of warm red and pink colours is just gorgeous and perfect for the Autumn season. So, I have as normal reviewed the claims from the company and compared them against my own views and opinions. Enjoy…

Claims:

12-shade eye shadow palette with double-ended applicator to create multiple, expert looks.

  • High-shimmer, ultra-smooth, blendable formula
  • Rich, intense stay-true colour to suit all skin tones
  • Perfect for sculpting, shading and defining
  • Crease-proof. Smear proof.
  • Wears all day
  • Use wet to line the eyes & give definition
Application:

These eyeshadows are so creamy and pigmented I was really shocked when I first tried them. I usually find drugstore, lower priced shadows are powdery and need several layers to get a decent amount of pigmentation on the eye, but these were just amazing. Even with one application the colours were strong and blended easily. They do fall down a bit on application so I would suggest doing your eyes before your face, but let’s face it, the Urban Decay palettes have fall down and they are super expensive. I was also surprised how well the colour lasted on the eyes. Even after a full day my eyes looked great.

The 12 shades offer a full range of varied colours allowing you to create lots of different eye looks. You can even add the darker shades wet for a liner effect on the eye. There is a selection of shimmer, matte and satin finishes, all of which are really pigmented. It has been labeled a dupe for the Urban Decay Heat palette and when you look at the colour range they are almost identical!

Verdict:

Rimmel have got everything right with this palette. It is very impressive. The shade selection is gorgeous, the shadows are pigmented and blend easily and they last all day. Best of all, the eyeshadow palette is only £8.99!!!! It hit all the claims with rich-intense colours that look amazing. If you buy one palette this year make sure it is this one – you will not be disappointed.
