December Birchbox Review

December Birchbox Review

Today’s post is a bit of a blast from the past as I have re-subscribed to Birchbox this month and my, am I glad did. It is an AMAZING box. It is jam packed with products, all of which I will use and are some of my favourite products too. So, I thought I would bring back my monthly Birchbox review. Enjoy the post…

Birchbox December 2018

Firstly I have to say the box is gorgeous with a real glitzy festive feel. I love these boxes. I keep them to store my makeup in as they are really handy with the little draw.

Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick by Laritzy Cosmetics

Full Size – RRP £20.00

This is an impressive lipstick. They claim it won’t budge and this statement is true. I applied it to my hand for the photo and couldn’t get it off! The colour they have sent me is called Tidal, which is a nude, brown colour. It is really nice. The texture is smooth on the lips and doesn’t dry them out and the colour is really pigmented.

Bubble Sheet mask

Bubble Sheet Mask by Oh K!

Full Size – RRP £7.50

I am looking forward to trying this. Korean face products are really doing well in the beauty world and sheet masks are particularly popular. This mask reacts with oxygen to create bubbles on the skin. This result is a foamy product that really cleanses and exfoliates the skin.

Rituals Body Cream

The Ritual of Ayurvedo Body Cream by Rituals

Trial Size – Full Size RRP £19.50

I was happy to receive this cream by Rituals as it is one of my favourite body creams. The formula is lovely and creamy and melts into the skin. It has a lovely smell too. I find it really hydrates my skin and keeps my skin smelling lovely all day. This is a trial size but at 70ml it is a big sample and will last a while.

smashbox primer

Photo Finish Smooth and Blur Primer by Smashbox

Trial Size – Full Size RRP £26.00

I have always wanted to try this primer but think it is really expensive for a primer, especially with really good ones on the market at a fraction of the price. So, I was excited to see this in the box as I can now try it and see if it lives up to the raving reviews I have read about it. This Smashbox primer is a clear gel primer that claims to smooth out pores, fine lines and wrinkles. It can be worn alone or under foundation. It will help keep foundation in place throughout the day too. I will write a review post for this in the new year.

Je T’aime Nail Lacquer by Cienna Rose

Full Size – RRP £9.00

This is a pigmented classic red shade nail polish that applies really well with just one coat. It leaves a glossy finish and dries quite quickly. This polish is free from 12 of the most common chemicals usually in nail polish, enriched with vitamin E and vegan friendly.

I love the shade. I love a classic red and lip so this colour was right up my street.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Roller Lash Mascara by Benefit

Trial Size – Full Size RRP £21.50

This was an extra gift as this was my first order. I love this mascara and have purchased it a few times over the past year. I am a big fan of Benefit products and find the mascaras are all very good. The Roller Lash lifts and curls your lashes. I like the wand and find the product spreads evenly without clumping. It has good pigment and lasts well throughout the day.

Birchbox Hair Comb

Full Size – RRP £5.00

This was an extra product this month. It is a plastic comb that will help detangle your hair without damaging it.

Chocoloate Duo by Hotel Chocolat

This was a little sweet gift for Christmas!

I really like this box and think all the products are great. It is fantastic value as it is only £10.00 + £2.99 postage. The products are worth a lot more than this. If you want to sign up to Birchbox or buy any of the products from their store, click here.
