The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter Review

Today I will be reviewing the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter by the Body Shop. I had not used a cleansing balm before and was interested to try one as I have read many reviews about how good they are at removing makeup. This one has been compared as a dupe for the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm. Enjoy my review!

£10.00 for 90ml from The Body Shop

  • Cleanses and nourishes the skin
  • Suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers
  • Leaves a clean and silky feel
  • Removes all types of makeup

My Verdict:

This is a creamy cleansing balm with a lovely mild smell. I apply a small amount to my fingers and then gently rub it onto my face including my eyes and neck. It warms and softens as you massage it in. I then apply a small amount of water to my hands and add it to my skin. I now use a damp cloth to rub away all traces of the balm from my skin. It removes all my makeup, although I do not wear much. I think you would need to add more to remove all traces of heavy eye makeup. It leaves my skin very soft and feeling very clean. I actually 2nd cleanse with my Neutrogena facial wash, but when used alone it is still really effective.

I think overall this is a lovely cleansing balm. It leaves skin soft and silky and lives up to the claims. It is a great price at £10.00. They have a lot of good deals too so ask your local representatives. I know we have a few close to where I live on Anglesey.
